MIX NYC hosted Memorizing Mix, an "oral History event featuring archival film screenings, food, archival materials to peruse, and oral history stations." The event was held at the The NYC LGBT Community Center on August 9th and featured multiple LGBTQ+ works, including We're Talking Vulva by Shawna Dempsey and Lorri Millan!
Gimli International Film Festival is screening two works in the VP catalogue in their Manitoba Shorts in Competition program on Sunday July 26th, 4pm at the Gimli Theatre.

"Spanning the late 1980s to the mid-2010s, this program playfully explores feminist ideas around sexuality, bodies, domesticity, childhood, and feminism itself. At a time when our world seems like no fun at all, these works remind us that there is joy to be found in feminist resistance and in leading a (queer) feminist life; killjoys can be joyful, too. And, while there is much to learn from these works, we must also remember that feminists are not a monolith and that, if some things remain the same, a lot has changed since these works were produced. While this program encourages students and educators to take these videos seriously, it also hopes to generate important critiques and/or interrogations about what it means to be a feminist, and what it means to be queer, in Canada, then and now."
