Build your own Website
Description Learn how to layout, build and create your website. Website creation often is daunting, but engaging in the creative process, organizational strategies and knowing what platforms to use will help you build your website quickly and efficiently. By the end of this workshops participants will begin the layout and building their own site.

Instructor:Â Nicole Shimonek
About the instructor:
Nicole Shimonek is an interdisciplinary artist from Winnipeg, Canada. She has an MFA from the Chelsea College of Art and Design (London, England) and a BFA from the University of Manitoba. She recently was an Artist in Residence at the Banff Centre for Arts and has participated in numerous residencies and initiatives. Her work has exhibited both nationally and internationally. This includes Unafraid at Plug In ICA, Walking and Being at the Syracuse Museum of Art, Live in the Centre: An Incomplete and Anecdotal History of Performance Art the Winnipeg Art Gallery, Gallery 1C03 and Urban Ideas Creative Placemaking Challenge. Her videos have screened at the Detroit Museum of New Art, Camden Roundhouse (London, England), at Prairie Scene (National Art Centre, Ottawa), Images Festival (Toronto), Studio 303 and the MAI (Montreal), Supermarket Art Fair (Sweden) and WNDX (Winnipeg).
Nicole’s practice investigates survival experiences through materials – drawing, sculpture, performance media and design.
