Virtual Spectres by artist Sarah Boo is having its International Premiere at the 55th International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR 2026), which runs 29 January – 8 February 2026 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The video is part of a shorts programme screening on Jan 31 & Feb 2Â
ReelOut Queer Film Festival in Kingston, Ontario, hosted Lesbian Camp- An Evening with Shawna Dempsey & Lorri Millan on Tuesday February 3rd at the Kingston Frontenac Public Library @ 6pm.
"Who says lesbians aren’t funny? This retrospective shorts program brings together campy films by Winnipeg-based duo Shawna Dempsey and Lorri Millan. From the 1990 music video We’re Talking Vulva, to the 2002 mock-u-mentary Lesbian National Parks and Services, get ready to embrace lesbian camp (and camping) with the 'Lesbian Park Rangers.' The artists will be in attendance for an audience Q&A following the screening."
Particle + Wave Vol. 6 features two works from the VP catalogue at their Screening and Performance Night:
nocturne by Zoë LeBrun and a beaten path by Natalie Baird and Toby Gillies will be screened at the festival on March 6, 2026 at the TELUS Spark Science Centre in Calgary.
WAG-Qaumajuq is running their exhibition Staycation: The Art of Being Here from Oct 29th '25- April 26th '26! Staycation features a selection of local works from their permanent collection, including following works from the VP catalogue:

Endless Sunlight
Centered around an audio recording of a conversation between kokum Penny Roan and Jennifer Houseman (Tyson's grandmother and mother), kokum Penny tells a story about her kokum's experience at a residential school in southern alberta, sharing that her uncle burned down the school when he was seven years old. Six generations of matriarchal lineage are weaved across time through images of a young woman, Osa Roan, who is Penny Roan's granddaughter, harvesting birch bark at a camp in the summer.
Collapsing Wave Function
Instructions for time travel.
Created from footage gathered at various artist residencies in the northeastern part of north america (Vermont Studio Center, VT, MacDowell, NH, Wassaic Project, NY). Collapsing Wave Function is a reflection on alternative forms of plant consciousness, non-linear depictions of land, and plant dreaming as interpreted through perpetual video feedback loops.
opwĂŞyakatâmĂŞwÂ
opwêyakatâmêw is a single channel video/experimental short created from footage gathered near Gregg Lake, AB. Featuring Todd Houseman, Kieran Houseman, Kyle Houseman. In the video, three nêhiyaw brothers take a walk on their traditional territory and through a forest they explored as children. They find an object eaten and gnawed by a beaver and imbued with animate energy. A voice over of their grandfather offers a teaching in their language, nêhiyawewin.
