From the festival:
A kaleidoscopic visual feast existing in liminal digital space, Blushing Phantom playfully examines the boundaries of concealment and exposure through animated collage. Accompanied by a pulsating score, this experimental short features a dancing human figure, vibrant flowers, glowing eyes, neon landscapes, and hallucinogenic textures that artfully bend the brain, coalescing into an experience at once nostalgic and divinatory.

Handsome Devil by Daniel Barrow is screening at the San Diego Underground Film Festival this April.
Barrow uses Amiga software from the late 1980s (DeluxePaint 4) to create this romantic pink and green story of a "sissy devil" who probes the depths of internet intelligence, composing an âadvanced searchâ on an antiquated search engine. Simultaneously, a naked, green, feminine artist traces the contours of her devilish destiny on her sketch pad, and then within an imaginary dating app. The âadvanced searchâ becomes a kind of contemporary, queer, love poem.
