Education Program Development Contract

VP is seeking applications for an Education Program Development (EPD) contract position. The position will be the lead in developing a new HyFlex Learning (Hybrid/Flexible) educational program for VP and will include: HyFlex research and development, program conceptualization and development, instructor training and recruitment, grant-writing and funding research, partnership development, and technical implementation. The position will be part of the VP team and will work closely with the Executive Director and Technical Director and will be provided with background information and research from work that has already been completed.

The position will require the EPD Contractee to be able to work both independently and as part of a team, utilizing VP’s internal communications protocols including weekly reporting and regular activity updates. This contract position may be extended depending on funding.

As this is partly a research position, it is not expected that a candidate will have previous knowledge of HyFlex.

EPD tasks will include, but not be limited to:

  • Research to better understand HyFlex Learning concepts and how they apply to non-profit arts education
  • Development of a flexible but stable education program utilizing concepts of HyFlex learning, suited to an arts environment.
  • Working with other contractors and instructors to create a template for future programs.
  • Working with contractors and instructors to develop, schedule and deliver an intensive HyFlex education program of approximately 8-16 classes over 3-4 months (details TBD).
  • Assisting instructors to run workshops as required.
  • Advertising HyFlex and other education programs.
  • Managing students and instructors within education programming.
  • Managing and booking equipment requirements for education programs.
  • Documenting and developing educational outlines for current and future HyFlex programs, including instructor templates, technical manuals and other relevant learning modules as required.
  • Organization and delivery of templates and other required materials and documents.
  • Recording and reporting on relevant statistics.
  • Research and development of grant materials for future program funding.
  • Grant writing for program fund development
  • Reporting on activities to the VP team.
  • Attending and/or organizing meetings as needed.
  • Basic financial management of workshops and instructors.
  • Other duties related to the education program as requested by the Executive Director

  • Technically proficient with computers and hardware, including troubleshooting (successful candidates are not expected to know all the hardware/software being taught but should be comfortable in a technical environment
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required by workshops
