Handwound Coils

Follow along with artist Ken Gregory as he presents the basics of creating  electro-magnetic coil transducers to use as a sound pick up,  or sound actuator. Everyone will build their own transducer to take away to use on their own projects. Basic theory, easy fabrication, demos of applications and experiments will be presented.  No prior electronics experience is required.

About the instructor:

Winnipeg artist Ken Gregory has been working with DIY interface design, hardware hacking, audio, video, and computer programming for over 25 years. His performance and installation work has shown publicly in Winnipeg, other parts of Canada and many international media and sound arts festivals.
