Instructor:Â Daniel McCafferty
Workshop Details:
Date: Thurs. May 28th, 2020 (7pm-9pm)
Location: Online
Cost:Â FREE
Limit:Â 10 participants
In this introductory workshop, participants will learn some fundamental concepts for writing code to make art for the web. This workshop will provide an orientation to working with p5 and requires no previous coding experience.
p5.js, is a programming language created for artists, designers and beginner coders to make visual things for the web. Because p5 works on web pages, participants will also see some HTML and CSS—but no experience writing this code is necessary either. After this two hour orientation, participants will leave the workshop with a simple html page that includes a p5 sketch to add to a website, as well as code and other resources to explore further.
Required
- A computer with a connection to the internet.
- Chrome web browser.
- Paper / sketch book (gridded paper suggested).
- Download and install Atom (https://atom.io).
