Meet Our New Suite - The 8.1 Multi-Channel A/V Room

The desk is done! And the new 8.1, multi-channel immersive audio suite is ready to be used. This room features 8 Genelec speakers and a sub, and runs Reaper as the primary DAW. See a list of all the equipment currently in the room here.

The space has been a dream of ours for a while, and later this year we'll have the ability to exhibit work in 8 channels in the venue as well. Currently, we also have the equipment to record sound remotely with 6 mics, but hope to get another two to round out the whole experience. This means that you could record ambient sound of your favourite natural space during the summer, then sit in it in the winter! You'll need a membership for all that though.

We encourage you to get in touch and come in to try the space out. We'd love to hear artists that work in stereo audio come and mix their works in a multi-channel format to present the work in a different way, or to have artists make work specifically in this room! It's a lot of fun.
