Exquisite Ghost

Exquisite Ghost

Jordan Thomas, hailing from Peguis First Nation, Exquisite Ghost’s style melds urbanity and primal futurism into a fusion of hypnotic, sparse electronic and hip-hop tinged productions. Equally influenced by J Dilla, Steve Reich, and John “Mahavishnu” Mclaughlin, Exquisite Ghost elevates each minute element into a kinetic blend of influences and beat-based sounds. Recently Jordan participated in a residency at Asinabke Film and Media Fest, Ottawa, Manifesto Festival in Toronto, the Indigenous Creatives Festival, New York City and Tone Deaf Music Festival in Kingston Ontario. He is currently producing his next release with Revolutions Per Minute Records to follow up the vinyl release Shrines in 2013. Jordan also provided the soundtrack for the CBC short doc “I Hold The Dehcho In My Heart / Sedze Tah Dehcho E’Toh” and contributed to the soundtrack of the VICELAND series Rise.
