About the Fund
Wendy Geller Fund (WGF) – The fund is designed to assist artists with the realization of an ongoing media arts project. In memory of Wendy, and in dedication to her commitment to the artistic community, the Geller family has generously established the Wendy Geller Fund. The $500 fund aims to assist VP members in the completion of in-progress projects, offering financial assistance to finalize a work.

Successful applicants will receive a cash award of $500.
Eligibility
The fund is designed to assist artists in the completion of a new media project. Examples of eligible expenses include, but are not limited to: colour correction, audio mastering, subtitling, duplication costs, package design or promotion.
Additional eligibility information:
- Applicants must be current members of VP.
- Projects must be already completed or near completion. The WGF is NOT a production fund.
- All types of media art projects are eligible, including audio art, video art, installation, performance, video, animation, and web-based projects.
- Successful applicants will have their work included in VP's distribution catalogue.
- Works produced for school are not eligible.
- Commercial projects are not eligible.
Submission Requirements
Due to the nature of the Wendy Geller Fund, application requirements for the award are streamlined for simplicity. Applicants must keep their proposals to one page and may only submit one piece of support material. Because WGF applications do not require a budget to be submitted, applicants are asked to include within their proposal specific details of how funds will be utilized.

SUPPORT MATERIAL
Applicants are asked to submit support material that clearly demonstrates the need for the finishing fund. It is recommended that applicants submit material from the project in question (raw/unfinished video, project production documentation). We accept digital submissions only:
- Video or audio documentation as a URL or transfer link
- not to exceed 10 minutes - if from a longer work, please indicate where you would like the jury to start from.
Conditions
Each individual is required to adhere to the following:
- The recipient must acknowledge VP and the Wendy Geller Fund as a support funder of the project
- The recipient must submit audio/ visual documentation of the project to be used for promotional materials.
- The recipient must grant VP non-exclusive distribution rights for 24 months. (Additional information regarding VP’s distribution policy can be downloaded from the VP website.)
