WSO musician Zdzislaw Prochownik recorded a full concert of Mahler’s Symphony No. 9 under the direction of Andrey Boreyko. The result is a stunningly rich interpretation of this late-Romantic masterpiece. Photographed by video artists Heidi Phillips, Wendy Buelow and Jesse Peterson and recorded live at the Centennial Concert Hall on May 13, 2006, the musicians are at their finest in this glorious interpretation of Mahler’s last-completed symphony. The event begins with fascinating rehearsal footage and musician interviews, that add extra depth and insight.
