In this 2-day workshop artists will be introduced to 3D printing and how it can be brought into their own practice. We will cover software, hardware, and 3d model resources. Participants will be familiarized with the different types of printers, understand how to make a “watertight model” for printing, and where to find free 3d models online. Workshop includes a visit to Northforge FabLab. No experience necessary.

Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2017 with Jaymez
This workshop will be an introduction to Adobe Premiere Pro, and will cover basic and alternative editing techniques, clip management, title creation and export and compression feature as well as integration into the Creative Cloud suite of products. This workshop is for beginners and intermediate users but may also be helpful for people interested in switching over from Final Cut or Sony Vegas.
Handwound Coils with Ken Gregory
Follow along with artist Ken Gregory as he presents the basics of creating electro-magnetic coil transducers to use as a sound pick up, or sound actuator. Everyone will build their own transducer to take away to use on their own projects. Basic theory, easy fabrication, demos of applications and experiments will be presented. No prior electronics experience is required.

Field Recording with Kelsey Braun
A Sonic Awareness…. Effective field recording is about learning how to listen. This hands-on workshop will teach participants the fine art of discovering and capturing sound in the field. We’ll explore 5 field recording units and an array of different microphones as we learn to really hear what’s coming through the headphones.
